Not actually a real post.

In lieu of actually updating my journal, I will simply tell you what I will be writing about and posting here soon, and post a song as well.

Coming up: 2007 Music Review. I did one last year and will be reading it and I'll see if I share the same sentiments in 2007 about music that I did in early 2006. Then I'll write about the best albums I heard in 2006 (that were actually released in 2006).

Here's something for you. It's an acoustic version of the song "Mad World" by Tears for Fears (Gary Jules did a piano version for Donny Darko). It was originally going to be only strumming and very fast, but I decided to pick most of the song and it added a minute. I mess up once during the song and didn't care to edit anything out, and I'm completely dissatisfied with the vocals. . . They do not fit the song. However, I am improving rapidly, more in guitar than vocal technique.

Here it is: Mad World

Look forward to more songs posted on here soon, in the same terrible computer-mic quality.

I think I missed my chance.

I hope I'm wrong though.

And don't update for two months at a time. I'm sorry.

Dunno what to say, except that yesterday was a really sweet day because I got a job as a notetaker, got my horrible financial aid situation figured out, and found out that I got another A. So I aced the first half of summer quarter and have 4 weeks more in the second quarter.

I found a girl I think I like. Hopefully I get to know her better and hang out. Life is just looking up right now. I'm going to start updating again, I just didn't have anything worth posting in the past two months.

It's been about a month since the last time I posted. It's really weird, but I seem to post more when I am busy than when I'm not. So here's what's up for people who don't see me often:

I cut my hair about a month ago. As in, cut all my hair off. I'm not sure if I want to grow it out again, it's okay looking short.

I now have contact lenses. I don't know how I ever went without them.

My car passed inspection. I'll probably work on it this summer to get the engine running better, but I plan on the Saturn running until at least graduation.

I'm taking classes over the summer. The two important courses are both during the second half: Routing and Switching and Intermediate Microeconomics. I am taking an online course the first half and need to find another class.

I have a job now. Weedwacking, 15-20 lawns per week. I still don't have money though. I never do towards the end of quarters, though. Hopefully I will during the summer.

I have fallen behind in coursework. I made a list of stuff I need to do by the end of this week and it's pretty daunting. I predict not a whole lot of sleep occuring this week.

I'm living in the same house at least for the summer, and i'm about 80% sure that I'll be here fall quarter too. I plan on doing a co-op for at least winter quarter, possibly spring.

I'm sick of talking about myself.

Quick update

Yeah, new quarter. Looks like I am going to have a lot of free time until I find a job.

Just got back from a weeklong spring break. Here's what happened.

Went to a Pens game (for free, thanks Tim), hung out with a lot of people, my MOM GOT MARRIED!!!, I got my hair cut, I had an exam for contact lenses but Wal Mart Vision Center blows so I don't have contacts yet. I stole the wheels/tires from my old escort and they don't really fit on my Saturn but I'm still using them. Scraping against brake calipers !=good. But it's okay.

My classes this quarter will be interesting. I'm going to learn a LOT.

The job I was supposed to have this quarter got transferred to NYC apparently. I'm pretty pissed since nobody at the company really told me.

As soon as my loan rebate comes in next week, I think I'm going bike shopping.
I'm going to see Zao on Saturday FINALLY. Probably going by myself so people don't have to wait around by themselves while I furiously stalk them and have gay sex.

I think that's it, but it's probably not. Bye.

Spring has apparently come early.

All I can think about right now is buying two things.

  • A laptop, so I can compute in the glorious outdoors, and

  • A bicycle, so I can feel the wind in my face and go anywhere I want by the will of my two legs.

School is busy, enough said. Can't wait to come back home, I want to bike. But I don't have a bike. So I will be stealing one to ride.

Haven't updated in 10 days or so. I'm not dead, just haven't had anything to talk about. I think I've about doubled my music collection since the last time I blogged. I currently have 4290 songs (11 days + 20:36:45), 22.55 gigs.

Since I last blogged:

Steelers have won 2 playoff games to go to the super bowl.
Ziggy Pallfy and Super Mario both retired.
The Pens are up for sale.
Ariel Sharon is in a vegetative state.

Yeah, lots of stuff. And I started going to the gym again.
